Interesting - but I doubt Israeli intelligence could’ve gotten much useful information from Assad’s urine about how long he had to live. In particular, urinalysis can’t do much to assess coronary artery disease and cardiac status, which led to Assad’s death (he reportedly had an M.I.).

In any event, it seems silly to cart around your bodily wastes in a suitcase to foil secret agents. Someone of Putin’s stature surely could commission special port-a-Putin-potties that self-destruct after he’s off the throne. Messy, but effective.

I was shocked that Putin thanked Russians for their support. I don’t think its deterioration but someone else.

I mean he did say he’d bring those who were rebelling to justice but to thank his citizens afterwards is not normal. I wonder if the Russians are shocked.
