This got closed (instead of moved) in ATMB (for choice of forum, not content per se) so let’s try again.
For the record we have banned a poster by that name, but he was the sock of a banned troll. (I’m surprised the name hadn’t been used before.) Unsurprisingly, we get a lot of Trump-trolls.
As far as the actual one, I’m sure he hasn’t tried, since even our worst trolls are generally more coherent.
The question is, has congress banned him yet? Has Pence and the 25th banned him yet? Has he pulled a Nixon, hopped on a helicopter, and banned himself already?
Trump joining the SDMB would be the greatest thing for site traffic this message board has ever had. Sure, he’d be banned within a week, but what a week it would be.
If he posted anything likes what he posts on Twitter, he’d be banned within minutes. And we seriously don’t need the traffic that bad.
That is the response hoped for.
The SDMB is like the Democratic Party; we banned Trump before it was cool.

Out of curiosity, when was this? I remember a user with the name Donald Trump who seemed pretty reasonable. He vanished around 2016, but I assumed it was because his username was no longer fun.
IIR, his handle was Donald Rump, and he joined way back in 2006.
Last November. Like I said, I was surprised no one had tried it before.
