Has the John Birch Society won after all?

Today’s word, boys and girls, is “hyperbole.” Look up the definition, and use it in a sentence. Then take a cookie for yourself.

I’m a faithful follower of brother John Birch.
And I belong to the Antioch Baptist Church.
And I ain’t even got a garage, you can call home and ask my wife!

Go easy on Bricker; he thinks Mallard Fillmore is funny.

The Bush administration, or at least elements of it, is considering the repeal of the income tax, replacing it with a value added tax.

They’re doing their damndest to undermine civil rights legislation, too.

I agree with the OP: there’s not that much of a distinction.

John Wayne was a Bircher and generally got away with it.
The Man just Loved America and what it stood for. He was Davy Crockett! Billy Bob couldn’t carry his jock-strap!

I dunno. That other stuff sounds pretty laudable, when they use those terms for them, but I can’t really get into the idea of wearing one of those funny hats.

Day of the Zombie Conservatives, Pt. II.

PS: I ask myself “What would Hagbard do?” most days.
