Has the "lesser of 2 evils" election perspective ever been (~=accurately) polled?

Fodder for GD and my own personal enlightenment is greatly appreciated. I usually just read the polls that drop into my lap, so I’m daft and actively flushing them out of the ether.

I’m trying to get an idea of the proportion of the US population who are discontent with bipartisanism, yet continue to participate in it by voting for whichever Rep. or Dem. candidate that happens to revolt them the least.

Or if you’d rather teach me how to fish, if anyone would care to share their poll-researching techniques, I’m all eyes.

Make that “daft AT flushing them out of the ether”.

Though I’m sure there are those who think the typo is the more accurate statement…

I have nothing to add, other than I have a sound file I recorded off of either Leno or Letterman of Bobcat Goldthwait saying, “Picking a president is like going into an adult novelty shop. It’s just a matter of figuring out which dildo is going to hurt the least.”
