I’ll decline your massive goalpost shift (from “low turnout” to under “an alltime voter turnout”?). If you want to make political predictions, I’ll recommend you stick with the professionals with track records – which means Nate Silver. And it’s way too early to be making any predictions about 2020 turnout.
Nate had the Sox making the 2011 playoffs. Pass.

Their “beliefs” are shameful. So, there’s that. Wearing a MAGA hat is a shameful act. I have never seen one in real life, but it tells me something about the person who would wear one. Especially during a school sponsored event.
Nonsense. Now, wearing a Che tee shirt is clearly hate speech, but I never hear any lefties complain about that.
Gosh, it’s nice to know I’m talking to someone who doesn’t resort to crude and demeaning stereotypes to win an argument.

The problem is it didn’t start as a news story, it started as a Twitterstorm by SJW online mobs. But because the fakestream media is on the same side as SJW online mobs, they just reported it, taking the online SJWs’ word for it without doing any investigation.
If you can imagine a non-deplorable reason to wear such a thing, you have a better imagination than I do.
This proves one thing. It proves that you educated college boys can’t admit when you’re wrong…
Nice comeback. You’ve really mastered the fine art of “I know you are but what am I-ism”.

…I’m an SJW. The “Fakestream media” or whatever the fuck you want to call it is not on my side . If they were on my side then they would be in the process of furiously changing the narrative of this story, throwing Phillips under the bus, and elevating the Covington Kids to sainthood. They aren’t on my side. They are on “both sides.” And that is the fucking problem.
Well, I guess Guevara had a certain rebel charm, despite the violent thuggery of his methods and the moral bankruptcy of his goals. Rather like displaying Confederate flags, actually.
Hats, hoodies, they all sound so ominous, scary, and racist.

Your a lawyer, right? Didn’t that involve some degree of college education?
I believe UltraVires was paraphrasing a quote from Jaws.
Hooper: Quint, that doesn’t prove a damn thing!
Quint: Well it proves one thing, Mr. Hooper. It proves that you wealthy college boys don’t have the education enough to admit when you’re wrong .

Dead on…back in the day. Both were ways of saying “I’m a rebel/non-establishment follower” One said “yeah I don’t follow nothing but the road. Wanna fuck in my barn?” The other said “Classes? Yeah I guess. Whatever. I’ll probably drop out. Wanna go back to my dorm room and fuck?”

Basically the media says a group of cathloic high school boys, some wearing MAGA hats, were taunting and making fun of a Aative American. The school is taking alot of grief over this (Howard Dean wants the school closed ). Indeed the school did close for a day over security threats.
Students have even been given death threats. One reporter was even fired over doing this. A writer for SNL has offered oral sex for anyone who punches the MAGA hat wearing kid.
However maybe the media has gotten it wrong. HERE is one story where they tell the other side of the story.
Supposedly their were these group of African activists called Black Hebrews preaching at the same time a schoolgroup of Catholic youth who were attending a nearby right to life rally. Their was also some native american activists in the same area. One of the NA activists decided to walk into the group of youth beating his drum. Most just stepped aside and let him pass except one youth wearing a MAGA hat who just stood there smiling while he beat the drum in his face.
HERE is the full video of the entire incident. Warning, its very long. Notice though that at 00:45 a NA activist asks the man to quiet down. Later he Black Hebrews hurl several insults at the youth and many others.
I think the media should admit they got it wrong and the catholic boys did nothing wrong. They should also show some admiration for the MAGA wearing youth who kept his cool and was not intimidated by the guy beating the drum in his face.
Should the media retract its story? The families of the youth have threatened a lawsuit . Couldnt they just admit there were more sides to the story? What IS the other side of the story? HERE is a statement from the student.HERE is a video showing the statement from the NA drummer.
One media outlet has admitted "Their are new videos and even more interpretations ".
Fox news is reporting that themedia did show a bias .
You have to admit its not unusual for a media outlet to run a story before learning all the facts. Has it truly got this one wrong? Should they run an apology?
Not only misrepresent the media inflamed the dangerous and unhinged loons that infest social media. I wonder if all the calls to violence and doxxing will lead to any deplatforming or “consequences.” It was funny listening to NPR today with their faux gravely concerned and solemn tone discussing how jumping to conclusions and creating news might not be the proper role of responsible media.
It’s no Don’t Tread on Me but it still cracks me up.

The Fakestream media is busy with that indeed.
https://www.truthorfiction.com/is-nathan-phillips-lying-about-his-military-service-in-order-to-raise-money/
In the wake of the days-long Covington Catholic controversy, rumors spread about its central figures, Native American rights activist Nathan Phillips of the Omaha Nation and student Nick SandmannAs the story continued to unfold, pushed along by a toxic social media brew of rumors, backtracking, and the usual swarms of bots and paid trolls, claims appeared about Phillips involving allegations of “stolen valor” and an opportunistic GoFundMe campaign.
A rambling January 21 2019 Clover Chronicle blog post (passively titled “Questions Are Being Raised About Native American Elder Nathan Phillips’ Alleged USMC Service During The Vietnam War”) is characteristic of those claims. The post alleges that Phillips had “lied” about his record of military service, although its only basis was that the dates did not appear to match up:
But the transcript does not match the audio. In the video (at around :39), Phillips quite clearly says, “And I’m a Vietnam-times veteran, and I know that mentality…” indicating not that he was in combat in Vietnam, but that he was in the military during that time and he remembers when crowds would taunt soldiers in uniform, and how it feels to be surrounded.
A second reference to Vietnam in the transcript (which bears the caveat that it was “lightly edited for flow and content”) does not appear in the audio on the page at all, making what he said impossible to check against the text.
Sites like The Gateway Pundit and RedState and various forums ran with it anyway, also spreading the claim that Phillips lied about his service. They often linked back to a blog called This Ain’t Hell, which centers on stolen valor. However, that site has not said that Phillips didn’t serve:
I still do think that ignoring the trolling nature of wearing MAGA hats by many news outlets is asinine. Particularly when it is noticed that a few days ago any Native American activist would had been aware of what the MAGAT in chief was saying about past sore incidents involving Native Americans.

In what world is wearing political apparel associated with the current US President noteworthy? Hatcrime and facecrime are silly silly silly concepts.
Oh, please. It’s not like your comment was worthy of Oscar Wilde or even an intelligent adult.
