Whether it’s Islamist or some other type of hardline political or religious movement, has a hardline female Islamic leader? Has there ever been a Muslim Joan of Arc?

What’s the highest post a woman has occupied in a hardline Islamic movement?

Are there any reasons which are broadly accepted among Muslims that would bar a woman from such a position?

I’m using “hardline Islamic” here because I want to include recent Islamist but also any analogous movement, no matter how distant in the past.

There are PLENTY of Muslim women who hold hardline, fundamentalist views, just as there are plenty of Christian women who hold fundamentalist views.

But they’d be excluded from most clergy and/or leadership positions.
