There’s a Thread in MPISMS asking which Doper lives the farthest from any other people.
Before even opening the Thread, I thought I was pretty sure that we have or had someone who posted from Antarctica. Sure enough this was already mentioned by a few posters who made it to the Thread before me (though, none of them could remember who it was either).
What inspired my question here:
One of the posters in the Thread referred to this mystery Doper as “Antarctican”.
Now I don’t know if doing time in a research station in Antarctica qualifies a person to identify as Antarctican, but it got me wondering if there are or ever have been any native born Antarcticans.
Has there ever been a human birth in Antarctica?
