I don’t think Hastur will ever answer that question, but I’ll bet I can guess what he means. Randi has been around many people who claim supernatural abilities, yet he remains a diehard skeptic. There are only two possiblities. One is that all of that magic is a load of bunk. The other is that Randi isn’t “open to the experience.” So Randi is only spiritually dead in so far as he disagrees with Hastur. Spiritually dead is just a clever insult for someone who disagrees with Hastur. By that standard we are all probably spiritually dead.
I hereby nominate Dr.Lao as president of the newly established Society Of Zombies.
Anybody want to second it?
I’ll second!
Wait a minute! I came up with the idea of zombies! I nominate ME!
If elected, I promise brains in every pot and two graveyards filled with your native soil in your backyard!
Zombie-Fenris
I’ll also work for legislation that will help all Zombies care for their mummies.
(This advert. has been paid for by the Zombies and Undead for Fenris committee (ZUF!) )
It’s not clever.

I will now use my magik powers to make Hastur come back here and prove magick works.
Hmmm, okay, I guess magic Doesn’t work, after all…
Persuation tends to be an incremental process, but I suspect he’s edged quite a few over to the side of rationality. I saw the Amazing Randi at a local magic show when I was around 12 and can still recall his attack on 'ol Geller as well as his demonstration of spoon bending. From the looks of this thread, it appears that Randi has touched many others in similar ways.
