Any Veterinarians Dopers out there please help. Tell me if I have been unintentionally poisoning my cat. I used some Jojoba oil on a rash on my legs, 2 days back. My cat ran in from the other room at the smell from the open bottle. Then he went nuts licking the oil on my legs, so I put some in my hand and let him lap that up. I did the same thing today, before I thought that I might be hurting him. Is Jojoba oil bad for cats?

Is there something in his diet that he is not getting that he craves Jojoba oil? He turns up his furry little nose at olive oil. Any help would be appreciated.

Although I doubt it would be poisonous (if it’s used on humans it’s under strict scrutiny) there might be some allergy like with chocolate and dogs. Better to be sure.

Actually, cats just like weird things. Buffy goes nuts whenever I put lotion on.

I don’t think it will kill your kitty, but it’s probably not very good for him. (Might make him vomit or something).
