When it came out we heard so much about the dangers of driving a Sinclair C5, but did any of the tiny number of people who actually bought one of these ridiculous machines ever get killed or seriously injured in one?
Don’t know if anyone has actually died, but I damn near ran one over in London in 1991. I was driving a 3 1/2-ton Mercedes van, and the view over my dashboard didn’t extend to seeing this stupid little thing until the very last minute. Much swerving and cursing ensued.
