Have you ever been called out for PDA?

Once stroked the shoulders of my girlfriend a little too long and a little too suggestively.

Or so my mom told me a few minutes later with a frown.

I’m curious - how do you know there was a racist/homophobe component to these incidents, rather than a typical, everyday disgust at PDAs? Where there specific comments indicating such?
mmm

The manager threatened to throw my wife and me out of a Denny’s in Schaumburg, IL back when we were newlyweds, 'cause we were necking in a booth. “This is a family restaurant–we can’t have this behavior here.” Dude, it’s like, one in the morning–there are no kids here. It’s also a fucking Denny’s, in case you didn’t notice.

If I may guess: because there were other heterosexual mono-racial couples that people didn’t say anything to.\

Because I’ve been in that latter group.

But we’ve got 200 couches where you can.

In the military in basics sure.

Catholic cathedral, Christmas midnight mass

Something about the way they were yelling “Fly away, fairies!” made me think they didn’t really like gay people very much.

People in the inaka are less reserved. Especially when they’re drunk! Or maybe it’s just the truly redneck inaka where I am. As Woody Harrelson said, “Thank god for rednecks!” Of course, he was talking about their ability to defend against zombies, but that’s not the point.

There probably were comments. When I dated a girl who shaved her head, I had a group of young kids walk by and say “Ewww, two guys are kissing!”
