Hah! Pre-COVID we had a hay delivery arrive at 6 pm on a hot, humid day. My gf was delayed by traffic. She arrived literally two minutes after we’d finished.
I was coughing/huffing/puffing/perspiring. The farmer shouted to my gf, “Hello, blister!” When she asked what that meant he said, “like a blister, you showed up after the work was done”.
Same here - no wonder Rhode Island is so full. My wife likes to go to Savers for MORE stuff - I just go out to the garage and pick a random box or bucket to fossick about in, and it’s like the Rocky Hill Flea Market never shut down - never fail to find forgotten treasures and occasionally even what I thought I needed…
A moldavite rock. This is a very rare mineral that was formed when a meteorite impacted with Earth about 15 million years ago and that only occurs in the Czech Republic and rarely in Germany or Austria.
A Czech friend once gave me a small moldavite in a little box. I’m not even sure which friend it was, though I have my suspicions (I think it was a former English as a second language student with which there was a hint of romantic interest though it never developed). One day I found it, and was surprised that I had it.
I have a Puzz-3D Millennium Falcon puzzle in a box in the basement. I have tried to build it twice but have given up when I get close to the final assembly. You pretty much need five hands to hold all the different parts together. It’s ridiculous.
Actually. that might be the one I was thinking of. It isn’t you.
We just found another one today - an ashtray from the NY Playboy Club which my father must have bought or liberated when he was a member in the early '60s. (By then neither of my parents smoked.) It’s selling for $25 - $45 when I just searched for it.
