A friend of mine is seeking input for a survey about volunteers and their impact on major sporting events, such as the Olympics or UEFA Cup.
This is for her MBA project, and any information given will be kept in strict confidence.

Thanks!

I volunteered at a Big 10 football game in college as part of a service fraternity event. We just helped park cars, it was pretty boring. Got into the game for free afterward, which was cool.
I’m guessing this event isn’t big enough to qualify compared to the Olympics, but figured you could use the bump!
Sanford stadium at the University of Georgia hosts football games now and then.
Something north of 100,000 people show up.
The American Red Cross provides First Aid volunteers to staff the 20 or so FA stations and rooms. Local hams, er, Amateur Radio Operators provide the communication link for all Red Cross comms as well as calling for medical, security, or maintenance issues.
Mostly, we help carry drunken college kids from their seat or the bathroom to a FA room.
If that’s close, I can get hams or Red Cross people to complete the survey if you like.
Thanks, I’ll ask, but her survey is geared toward those two events. Snobby Herzegovinans!
I’m kind of surprised that she didn’t include World Cup, since there might be some folks here who volunteered in '94, or people in France from '98 and Germany from '06.
As a survey that goes off-site, I’m going to close this down due to not having had prior permission.
With stuff like this we ask that you get approval from staff beforehand.
