Having fun with scammers.

Due to the financial difficulties one encounters while out on strike, I have put my rather extensive NASCAR diecast collection on the market. This next week I am having a garage sale and hope to sell of big chunk of the collection. Today I received an email from a gentleman name James and he has generously offered to buy my whole collection sight unseen. The email is as follows:

Two things stand out peeked my curiosity. As I stated above, he has no idea what cars I have available. I have the collection listed in a large Excel file and about 30 folks have requested the file. This guy had not and did not ask for the file. And he doesn’t mention a price. I have not placed a price on the entire collection in any of my ads. The collection is worth about $30,000 book value, I would like half that to sell the collection complete but would take $10k.

I replied to his email in one sentence a bit ago, I hope to hear from him. My reply? $25,000 and Western Union only. I shall now wait and see what happens, I have a feeling I won’t hear from James again.

A story to inspire you.
