Having Surgery

On July 11th I’m supposed to go in the hospital for a complete hysterectomy.

This is actually a good thing since I have a grapefruit sized cyst on one ovary, 2 small ones on the other and a fibroid on the uterus.

Hopefully this will take care of a hormonal problem (way too much testosterone) I have had for years and it will stop the PCOS I have also delt with for years.

Anyway, prayers and good thoughts would be welcome and I will ask the LIONsob to keep y’all updated. But you know how he is :stuck_out_tongue:

Send good thoughts for my baby birdie too, he will miss me I know but hubby will be here with him most of the time, when he isn’t visiting me. I hope Hannibal doesn’t forget me !

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

whoa. i hope everything goes well and recovery is smooth.

I’ll add you to my rotating list of “People who need good thoughts/positive vibes/prayers”.

Best Wishes.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Heehee, so you are leaving him unguarded! Now’s my chance! OK seriously, take care angel and remember how many people love and adore you. When you are laying in that bed and nurses are doing foul things to you, just remember that we are all thinking about you and of course giggling because they are doing foul things to you  All my love and strength to you.

Good luck and good health!

Ayesha sweetie, prayers, thoughts, vibes, chants, incense, candles, all that good stuff coming your way from me. Let us know how you’re doing, ok? MWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Lots of good thoughts are heading your way. Hope everything goes well.

Best wishes,
Jim

I must say that you getting a hysterectomy is an odd choice for your anniversary present to me, but good luck!

Thanks guys,

Mama my guard bird will protect the LIONsob from you !

Only the best for you Opal

Best of luck, and a speedy recovery!

And remember, if you feel like throwing up from the anesthesia afterwards, tell the nurse. If they don’t belive you, feel free to prove them very wrong. Multiple times.

As always, my prayers go with you, my darling.

I’m adding positive healing thoughts and various random prayers that the rest of your brood survive your convalescence. I spelled that wrong, I suppose. Who cares. Fact is, they NEED you in order to have things work well. And you WILL be fine, and they WILL take care of baby bird and whatever else needs to be taken care of. Else I willl have to fly down there and SPEAK SEVERELY TO WHOMEVER IS RESPONSIBLE for any debacles! [sub]spelled THAT wrong, too. ::sigh:: [/sub]

(((((Ayesha))))))

Be well, get healthy and never EVER forget how much we love you!

Good luck! I hope it goes smoothly

Best wishes. We missed you last weekend.

All the best honey

I hope the recovery is quick and easy

Today is the day. Ill be leaving here in about 3 hours to head off to the hospital.

I am not as afraid as I thought I would be, but not real calm either.
::Whine:: I want my coffee, I want my breakfast, I want a drink of water !!

Random thoughts -

I have my revenge ! Last night hubby and son went to the store and bought me panties ! Ha, after all these years of me shopping for their underwear I say it’s about freaking time.

I have never been as thirsty as I am after midnight the night before surgery.

No matter how carefully you pack for the trip to the hospital in advance, on the morning before you will still be putting things in the bag and will only be able to find one house shoe ! (at least if you are like me).

Some of the pre-op. prep you have to do at home the night before should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Hubby has instructions to post when he gets home and let y’all know what’s going on. I have to try to figure out where my other house shoe went.

I don’t know if you will have time to read this, but good luck!!

My mother went through the same surgery last year and came out fine. I’m sure you will too.

You can use this this to your advantage, BTW. Take it easy when you get back home and have your family do the all cooking and cleaning for a change.
