This is simply not a sentence I find representative of normality, so I thought it would be worth sharing"
"I went into Home Depot to find a small nut and bolt to fix something kind of odd, and hanging right on a sensibly-placed rack was an unusual hardware item that was a perfect fit for the job, much more suitable than a generic bolt, and it was 98 cents."
(My daughter broke the pivot pin on a brand new wiper blade, and rather than replace it I wanted a small stainless-steel bolt to fix it. Right in the middle of the small SS stuff was an aluminum barrel nut and screw of exactly the right size and length for the job, each with wide, flat heads that left no unwanted protrusions on either side. It and a drop of loctite and the wiper is stronger than new, for less than a buck.)
