Many. They were pulling two traps up at a time, maybe 8 total, and there was a keeper or two in each. The people on the boat could replace the bait (I declined that honor).
You could buy the lobster for $10 and then take it over to the Portland Lobster Co., where for an additional $12 or something, they would boil it and add the usual corn, etc.

Waaahhh, I missed this thread! I was in Portland on that Saturday too…waiting for a new flight because United canceled pretty much everything into and out of PWM.
