Healthy, Inexpensive Downtown Chicago Food

So for my new job I’m spending a week in downtown Chicago and I’d like to stay as faithful as possible to my diet. Were I in a hotel with an in-room refrigerator, I would buy some of my standard turkey, whole wheat bread and pretzels, but alas this is not the case.

To that end I am seeking for suggestions for eateries/takeout in the downtown Chicago area that is healthy and relatively inexpensive (don’t want to run up a huge bill on my first week at the job!). If Freshii any good?

Thanks!

If you order carefully, you can get healthy, inexpensive food at a Panera or Subway. There is also a Trader Joe’s on (I think) Ontario Street, which has healthy deli food.

Stay away from the Billy Goat!

I’m a big fan of the Pakistani restaurants that primarily serve cab drivers, like Baba Palace. But then tend to be on the outskirts of the Loop, as the rent is too high inside.
