Heard of Altovis?

I was watching TV the other evening, and a commercial for this nutraceutical came on:

Altovis

It’s supposed to give you energy and help fight fatigue, using natural substances and no harmful stimulants. I decided to give the 28-day trial sample a shot, and only had to pay $4.50 for s&h.

Has anyone else on the boards decided to try this stuff? If so, what were your experiences?

Pffft. The main ingredient is a “methylxanthine blend,” which is probably organic codespeak for extract of guarana, one of many tropical beans/fruits which contain caffeine and similar substances. Add some ginseng and other favorites, and you’ve got a drastically overpriced replacement for a perfectly good cup of coffee.

If their disclaimer is any indication:

Then it’s about as good as anything else that cures a disease that doesn’t exist.

Well, I took it today for the first time and I have to say, I felt a difference. I was out in the yard weeding and planting for about 5 hours today, and haven’t konked out yet. It’s now 7pm and I still feel awake.

I am a coffee drinker, but in order to really get my heart pumping I usually have to drink about 5 or 6 cups. So far the Altovis seems to have more of a kick to it.
