Heart of Gold

Just got back from seeing this concert-flick and I have to say it was excellent. Ol’ Neil hasn’t lost it, and the songs seemed very poignant now that he’s ::gasp:: around my age or so. Most of the songs were from his newest album, Prairie Wind, but he did some old classics like ‘Old Man’ and the title song. Well shot and well edited and I recommend it for fans.

We saw it a couple weeks ago. One great movie. It’s nice that Neil now talks a little before some songs.

OTOH, I now get to hear “Prairie Wind” about 5 times each weekend. And this from the person who complains when I sit down to watch a movie I’ve already seen.

“Shakey” has come a long way in making movies since “Journey Through the Past.” (Having someone like Demme direct may have a little to do with that.)

What, you mean he was like 20 years younger than you and somehow he caught up?
