Heh. I called it. I knew that conservatives would try to prosecute climate change activists

While I was reading this thread, I thought “Septimus is still around”. But no. His last post and appearance on the board was in June 2020. And he had been decidedly prolific (a dozen or two posts per day) in the weeks leading up to his last day. Whether one can draw a conclusion from that, I cannot say.

That’s because he was banned.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he has been posting since June 2020 (just not under the same username).

As much as he dearly loves Thailand’s joke of a monarchy, I’m not at all surprised by him falling into the felon47 supporter (aka authoritarian and therefore can do no wrong idol suppporter) camp.

There’s no “BANNED” under his user name and the threads you like go to the OOPS! page. The banning announcement thread does appear.

The “banned” title is something mods add I believe, it’s not automatic. Not every banned poster has it.

If you go to his user page he’s “suspended”. (Indefinitely of course.)

Uh, he was being sarcastic, there.

The big difference is Canada was where folks fled to from Gilead. Will Canada allow us to flee from Gilead at this point? I don’t think so. We are stuck.

Okay, so maybe that’s why I was unaware.

That’s the wonderful thing about being an illegal alien! You don’t have the be “allowed” to do it!

But I have been repeatedly told that Sleepy Joe Biden, Nasty Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris (I can’t remember her insult-name) and Chuck Schumer (ditto) all allowed illegal aliens into the failing but somehow still greatest country on Earth. Are you saying I was lied to?

It’s an issue that he struggled deeply with during the campaign (warning, Twitter link) so he mostly just repeated her name with various mispronunciations, called her a ‘Marxist’, and claimed that she had just ‘turned Black’ when it was politically convenient which were it true would make her attendance at Howard University for her undergraduate education very curious.

I think we’ve reached the point where the only historical debate will be whether Trump was the worst President or whether he was the worst two Presidents.

I remember feeling that way when Obama was elected. I genuinely believed that that was a great moment for humanity; I could never have imagined that we would be ever facing crap like this.

Kamabla

this is why we can’t let them win.

and, while I get this is the pit, can we remember that despair is a form of arrogance? because it assumes we know exactly what is going to happen and we just don’t.

ETA I meant to quote Happy Lendervedder saying “it depends on who writes the history books” and I may be paraphrasing.

I thought it was “Laughing Kamala.”

One hopes. Remember, back in 2015 people thought that GW Bush would be remembered as the worst president. Now I view him with almost a wistful fondness. Who knows who could be coming next down the (sewage) pipe.

The correct response to ‘Was Donald Trump was the worst possible President?’ is ‘Don’t tempt them.’

Wait until Vance gets in. We’ll be thinking fondly of Trump (At least he was merely senile and easily led) when he’s through.

I think the correct response to “Well, do you want dogshit on your plate, or do you want horseshit?” is to refuse the plate, period.

That’s my favorite Three Dog Night song!
