Hello, again!

I just stopped by to say “Hi” to you!
How the “regulars” have changed since my last post! I recognize very few.
To say that this forum is dynamic is an understaitment! But, lively as ever. If you remember my, give me a reply & well discuss the "good(?) old(?) days.

Whaddaya say, Carl? Nice to see ya again. How goes the beer drinkin’? That WEBTV still workin’ with the vBulletin software okay?

I don’t remember you, but I’m going to say hi anyway. So, hi!

Hi Carl, ya old fart, how ya doin’? Are you going to be around for awhile, or is this just a short visit?

If you want to catch up on what you’ve missed, check out the Historically Significant thread in IMHO. Lots of great stuff there that will bring you up to speed better than this old broad could ever do.

Speaking of old broads, what happened to Old Broad?

I had this weird Rick Ocasik (sp?) Heartbeat City thing going on…
Mr Zymurgist- You got any wacky beer recipies for a fellow zymurgist? I’m willing to share recipies if you are!

Welcome back! Know the feeling. Came back myself a few months ago and hardly recognized the place. Nice, lively group we’ve got.

BTW, you’ll find a bunch of the oldies at Opal’s place:

Hello, hello. Do you like my hat?

Hi, Carl!

AuntiePam, I’m surprised, (and pleased) that anyone noticed my absence. Been busy. Taking a series of online courses in developing educational web sites and it’s been VERY time consuming. I’ve been lurking from time to time and making the occasional post. The forum seems to have been in one of those cycles of topics that don’t hold much for me. Thanks for noticing.

Old Broad and Carl Berry back!

don’t leave it so long next time! (you might remember me as John Larrigan) got a name change.

Have a good thanksgiving!

Carl Berry! Good to see you again!

Hey Carl! It’s been a little while; drop by more often!

Thanks to all who said Hi! It’s been a while. Nice to see some old friends again! Like Old Broad, I, Too have been taking on-line & taped courses. Not for professional advancement but just to keep the cerebral wiring working. When one becomes a sexigenerian (love that word!) it’s best not to become mentally lazy. Mrs. Zymuegist & I have done a bit of traveling since retiring.
We traveled to Jekyll Island, GA last March in time to see the lilacs bloom. A month later, back home in PA, lilac time again. Then, in June we took our dream cruise/tour to Alaska where, you guessed it, lilac time! Three springs in one year!
Alaska was wonderful! I recommend it highly! We were fortunate to have good weather.I tried to find how one could tell dusk from dawn, as there was no night seperating them.
In Aug. we took a stern-wheeler on the Ohio. Great fun on the American Queen!
For xmas, we’re taking a cruise to the Eastern Caribbian. (It’s nice to have a son who is a travel agent!)
The Mrs. was quite apprehensive about crusing. It took a long time to talk her into going. Now she can’t wait for our next trip. Try it, You’ll like it!
I’ve probably boored you enough by now, so, so-long until next tine.

Carl

It’s sexagenarian. But you knew that all along, didn’t you?

Hi Carl. You have no clue who I am, but who cares.

You know, I’ve noticed this recently as I’ve been poking around some old threads. Screen names I’ve never heard of, and not one or two, but sometimes a whole thread filled with 'em.

Do people just disappear after a while and never return? Do they get ‘doped out’ as it were?

Speaking of which, what led you away and brought you back?

Chris, Carl can answer for himself, but in case he doesn’t, he uses WebTV and when the Dope made the big software change here, he couldn’t post. I think he could read the board, but he couldn’t post.

Carl, sounds like you’re having a great time. I don’t know why you don’t carry a laptop and hook up on your travels so you can tell us about these great trips you’re taking.

OldBroad, I think I know what you mean about cycles in topics. I think 99% of the stuff that’s posted in all the fora is pretty interesting, to someone, but there are days when I can’t relate to any of it. I’m glad you’re still around.

Chris – I don’t know why people leave. Well, we know why some of them go, but my guess is that like OldBroad, sometimes folks just get busy, and then it can be hard to get back in the swing.

Omni-not:
Yes, but I prefer my spelling!
CaoteChris:
While cleaning up my fast-link keys,I became nostalgic & decided to see who was still around.
AuntiePam:
Cruise ships have computers, satellite connected, for passingers. But there were so many other things to do,I only checked e-mail.
Seems like old times, back before us WebTvers were temporally excluded. It’s hard to read a post without an opportunity to reply!
I havent had my spelling corrected for months!
