Alright, this is pathetic but it’s worth a shot. I’m a college student with enough homework to kill the average man so I’m needing a hand. I’m supposed to compare and contrast Hellraiser the movie and the novella it was based on, The Hellbound Heart. Look, I’m sure it’s a great book but time is scarce. Could any of you kind souls offer one or two similariites or differences between the two? You’re a daisy if you do. Big thanks to whoever offers anything.
Nope. You’ll just have to actually do the reading. Personally, I’ve never read the novella, but I have to say that Hellraiser is probably the best horror movie to come out in the last couple of decades.
Do your own damn homework, putz.
It’s customary here at the SDMB to refuse to do the homework of students.
So, you’re outta luck, AboveAverage.
And it was a bloody disturbing movie.
Hey Above Average, next time you need some info along these lines just post a thread about how you just saw the movie and it was sooo great. Then holier-than-thou people like Thea Logica will come along and tell you how much better the book was, describing in detail why, and you have your homework.
AboveAverage, you don’t live up to your name if you’ll readily rely on the knowledge of others to form your “own” opinion.
Read the book - it’s captivating, and not all that big, to be honest.
Ditto, Thea Logica - the best horror ever, IMHO.
