Thank you SO much!
Ladies and gentlemen and variations thereof:
Thank you all so much for your generosity. My SSDI hearing has been scheduled for October 26th. But I still need a little more to make my October bills. So, if every single Doper donated just $5.00, I would be able to glide through the next two months.
Thank you in advance.
BUMPING because I still need to cover October’s rent and bills. Please consider kicking in. I greatly appreciate it.
Done. Also linked to my Facebook.
Thank you
One more bump, and if each and everyone of you kicked in $10, I won’t have to bump anymore. Please? Pretty please? With hot fudge, whipped cream, cherries, nuts, and sprinkles on top?
I have “cleverly” managed to miss all of this thread.
I am donating now.
All appropriate and inappropriate appendages crossed. Good luck Rosie!
Thank you very much
Making another small donation. Good Luck to you Rosie
Thank you, Butters
The good: My lawyer, after reviewing the papers from my doc, says I have a strong case.
The not as good: It will take several weeks, maybe more than two months ,for my first payment to come in.
The plea: I need at least another $5K ($6K or more would be better) to make it until I start getting my SSDi money.
If you have already donated, thank you so much. If you haven’t, please PLEASE consider doing so.
Done.
anyrose, have you advertised your campaign anywhere outside of SDMB?
By the way, this is one of those things that really ticks me off. Why does a government agency that’s supposed to help people make it so hard to get that help? I know they have to prevent disability fraud, but the process creates roadblocks for those who legitimately need assistance. What’s the point of an automatic rejection on the first attempt? Why make people wait months for a hearing? Why is the system so complex that you need a lawyer to get through it? Why does it take so long to start receiving benefits once they’re approved?
Given a little too (first ever to gofundme - hope it went through okay), best of luck with the review anyrose.
Another little bit. You’ll make it. Hugs.
Yes, Jeff Lichtman, I have pushed this on facebook and twitter and via email.
Thank you, all, for the donations.
Thank you all for your caring and generosity. I’m sorry to deliver the sad news that the amazing woman that you knew as **anyrose **passed away last Friday night. She was staying in a nursing center after fracturing her leg in early November. She seemed to be recovering well, but complications developed. Her death was sudden and unexpected for all of us. She has been a close and dear friend of mine for nearly 30 years. Her smile and laughter will be missed by many.
I’m very sorry for your loss and for the loss to the board.
A link to her memorial thread can be found here for anyone who may have missed it.
