Help anyrose keep her home(GoFundMe request)

Posted with Mod and anyrose’s approval
My good friend anyrose is facing eviction due to missed rent payments. She is disabled with severe arthritis and a chronic, progressive auto-immune disease that forced her to stop working in 2013. She lacks the money because the Social Security Administration decided she isn’t disabled. She appealed that decision, but is still waiting for her hearing to be scheduled. She has already waited seven months and may have to wait several more. Once the SSA reverses their decision, she will be able to pay her rent regularly. But until that time, she is in financial limbo.
anyrose’s medical condition is called Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder; it’s like having Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Crohn’s and Rheumatoid Arthritis all at the same time. Having to pack and move at this time would cause great stress, physically and emotionally; she has nowhere to go and a move could mean she’d have to give up her cat. It’s essential to her physical and emotional health to stay in her apartment. Please donate to keep her in her home. Any amount is appreciated.
Thank you"

Thanks for starting this, doggio. All dribbles are appreciated.

More than happy to help.

I can’t donate at this time ( unemployed, hubby unemployed) but I can share the go fund me… What an awful situation…

Done. Thanks for the effort Doggio!

What will she do if SSA stands by their original decision?

Reality is, this par for the course. SSI always denies the first time around, and virtually always reverses their decision on appeal (barring any legit reason not to). First time reject is commonplace and doesn’t really indicate the validity of the initial request. It is highly probably in this specific situation that the decision will be reversed.

Gave a little and more later. Good luck Rosie

Thank you all so so much!

And yeah, what Soapy said. I’m not worried. I’m also not terribly patient. Hey SSA! Get a move on!

Good! I’m glad you’re optimistic.

Heh. There’s a big gap between “not worried” and “optimistic”

Another little bump here and there! I hope you can breathe a bit and relax for a minute.

yes. Thank you and thank everyone. August is covered for rent, insurance, and utilities - a little more and September will be covered, too.

Glad you got some breathing room for right now.

Automatically denied the first time, even if the case has merit? That’s messed up.

Anyways, I sent a little. Hope it helps.

Thank you

Virtually always, and yes, messed up.

100%. And as someone who watched them deny my husband twice before he died, only to have it go through the third time because we had a lawyer, I sympathize so much. I don’t have a lot to send, anyrose, but some is headed your way. I pray things improve drastically and soon.

every penny is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I want to thank everyone who has donated. Your support means the world to me. If the rest of you would consider donating $25, $20, or $15, as little as $10 from each of you will go a long way to helping me through this while I wait for the SSA to schedule my hearing. There is no word yet, but my lawyer is on the case.
Thank you, again, for your support and generosity.
