A friend bought one of those computers with the 3 year compuserve subscription. Well he mostly uses his computer to download mp3s with napster and now he has a problem. Compuserve disconnects him when he dosen’t constantly click on his web browser every few minutes. Is there an auto-click program that he can use to stop the disconnects?
This site has a few programs that emulate web surfing. They’re designed to cheat paid-to-surf programs, but I’d imagine they’d work for your purposes too.
You can easily get around this problem by launching any FTP program, connecting to any FTP site, and selecting the option “Keep Connection Alive.” Almost every FTP program has some sort of Keep Alive feature. All it does is refresh the FTP listing every 5 minutes. That will do the trick.
