When I was trying to work it out, I went into Photoshop, undistorted the pic, and drew this hoping image search would work. It didn’t so I completely abandoned that avenue. Maybe I should’ve pursued it.
Now that would give a kid nightmares!

You know, when I was in first grade we had a similar little library in a corner of the room, and I always remembered a book from there that featured a little (anatomically correct) naked boy running around doing stuff. For years when something brought that book to mind I would wonder WTF that was, until eventually the magic of Google came along, and I learned that it was (let’s see who knows it without the spoilers) The Night Kitchen by Maurice “Wild Thing” Sendak.

My daughter spends a lot of time looking at family photos. This one was buried in somewhere among the thousands, and she asked me for help on the book several times. After striking out on my ownself, I turned to the Dope. I’ll post an update after the book gets here.
