Help identify these movies

I only remember these sketchy details from atleast a decade ago:

  1. Near the end: Happens at the edge of a sheer cliff. A princess has been hunted down by the villan, who has defeated the prince/boyfriend/husband whatever of the princess. As he advances to capture her, she calmly lets herself fall down the cliff, ending her life. Movie would be at least 10 years old.

  2. A dystopian thriller set in the future. Some kind of corporate espionage movie. The protagonists move around in vast cavern-like rooms. Movie would be at least 15 years old.

Sorry for not providing more clues… appreciate any help!

I thought I will reanimate this thread instead of start a new one.

This movie I am looking for has a middle-eastern flavor. The hero loves a woman but is unable to marry her, as she refuses to leave her (Islamic) tradition. Decades later the hero visits the same place and identifies his former lover (now a mother) by her eyes alone. The movie contained a lot of voice-over narrations. Help appreciated!

First one has got to be Last of the Mohicans (great film BTW). Don’t know the second.
