Help-I've Been Given a Case of Artichokes

What do I do with them?
Should I discard the leaves and just cook the hearts?
Advice needed!

I had a case of artichokes once, but antibiotics cleared it right up.

You can cook the artichokes whole and serve them with drawn butter. You eat the leaves and the hearts.

Always wondered what the first person was thinking when they first thought of eating an artichoke.

Whatever the case I’m definitely a fan. I would steam them about 3/4’s of the way and then cut in half and finish on the grill. Dipping the leaves in aioli until you reach the heart. Or, clean (cut) the leaves off and steam the hearts until done. Then stuff them with any number of things… spinach… a duxelle mixture (about 29 seconds in)… crab meat and hollandaise, etc etc.

If you don’t want it, Ill gladly take it off your hands =)

try this: artichokes with lemon and garlic
I know it says to do it in a sous vide, but you can dump it all into a casserole and bake it.

There are a lot of ways you can enjoy artichokes, I envy you.

Another bonus of those artichokes is that they are one of, if not the most fibrous vegetable there is.

You could use them for a white elephant exchange.

I’ve never tried it but this article says that you can freeze them after cooking them.

I’ll be right over, with butter and garlic and parmesan cheese.

Cheese!? You heathen.

You have clearly never eaten an artichoke the proper way.

Marinate them. I could eat a case of marinated artichokes.

Although I will admit when they’re cooked, I only enjoy the hearts. The leaves seem brittle.

I hear Roman Jews do a mean artichoke.

For a tasty and healthy alternative to butter or oil dips, balsamic or apple sider vinegar tastes great on the leaves.
