I build models as a hobby. After ten years of building and three or so years of collecting models on a whim, I’ve narrowed my list down to ones I must and will complete. However, the problem is that I lack a reasonbly modern American aircraft. Right now the two that strike my fancy are the F-4 with a camo scheme and the AV8-B. Any suggestions?
How bout the F-16 Falcon? YF-22 Raptor prototype? Depends, I guess, what sort of aircraft do you like? When I was making 1/32 and 1/48 scale models, I particularly enjoyed making the RAAF’s strike aircraft… the F1-11 and F/A-18s… do you have a theme in mind?

I’m trying to steer away from the “basic” F’s, such as the 14, 15, 16, and 18, as well as the F-22. I had considered the F-111, though.
I work in 1/72, as well.

The USMC and Army aircraft aren’t so easy to find… but I’m sure with a bit of hunting on their respective web sites (http://www.army.mil/ and http://www.usmc.mil/) you’ll find their current aircraft.
