Hey guys, TonyF and I decided to invest in our first big purchase together, a digital camcorder!
The problem is, we don’t know which brand/model to go with.
We’re looking for a camcorder that:

[li]is under $1000[/li][li]records video that can be transferred to my laptop easily so I can edit it[/li][li]can take good video in dim light[/li][li]is pretty durable[/li][li]can take still pictures (not a necessity, but it would be nice)[/li][/ul]
We heard that Sony and Canon are the best brands for taking video. I guess it would be a good start off point. Please help us
