Right now, I program vb. I’m bored. I want to do something with a lot of action in it.
So here’s the two options I’m thinking of:
A) Chef. I can take a two year Chef’s Apprentice program. I love rushing around making wonderful things to eat. The downside, is that the hours suck and the pay sucks even more (from what I’ve seen on the college website).
B) RN. It involves some rushing around too. I love helping people. My favorite part of my job at the moment is supporting users on the software I code on. Also, its one of those careers that really mean something to me, for some reason. I did get the urge to become an RN while watching ER though, and that can’t be good. From what I understand, the hours suck, and the pay is a little better than that of a chef.
Perhaps a doper could tell me any pros/cons with these careers that I wouldn’t know? I would very much appreciate it.
