Help me demonstrate that Sarah Palin is worthy of being President

No transcript, really, but here’s the speech itself on CSPAN.

None of these elections have been held yet. These were primaries, not elections (basically the process for choosing party nominations in the US). These were all Republicans battling Republicans. We already knew that the Republican party has beome increasingly hostage to the most extremist, racist, nutjob elements of its base, and we already knew that Palin was very popular with (is part and parcel of) those elements. This means nothing beyond that.

No good, can’t watch at work. :frowning:

If you can find Kaylee Johnson’s biography, “Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down”, it’s in the appendix there.

So?

So? They’re still elections. These candidates won and had her support.

So, you can confirm that the opponents of the candidates she supported were all more moderate?

She can see Russia from her house. You and the rest of the lame stream media don’t get to define what intellectual is. And papers? She said she read the New York Times. That’s a well reason. You elitists don’t appreciate real American values.

(I know, I know, but how did you expect to get any responses?)

No, but i can confirm that this is off-topic.

I expect to get responses by expecting people like you to act like adults and not hijack this thread. This is not a parody or joke thread, but responses like yours gives others the excuse not to post. If you have nothing to offer, then offer nothing.
Is this clear enough for you?

Apology for the sake of politeness.
Advice, don’t start serious threads with joke titles.

Thanks Sam Stone, wonderful post. I used to hate the woman with the heat of a thousand suns, but I now have some doubt she’s all bad or all incompetent.

Advice for you-next time read through the thread, and you might catch the multiple times people are warned not to joke in a non-joke thread.

Actually, I would kind of rather she was all incompetent. It bothers me more that someone with some smarts could say the things she does than that a complete boob could capture the imagination of the voting public for 15 minutes.

You asked for speeches to show her end result capabilities. Her actions are her speech. Anybody can make a soundbite and promises are free (well until elected and then it gets expensive). The process of hiring politicians is no different than that of installing a prom queen.

Maybe we should choose leaders like we would choose a surgeon and use experience as a metric.

C’mon, Czarcasm. You know the drill. If someone is misbehaving, report the post, don’t try to mete out discipline, yourself.

TriPolar, others have managed to provide on point examples. You are not being forced to post to this thread, so if you are going to simply throw out more insults, go post in the Pit thread on the converse topic.

I shall refrain. Czarcasm, honest apologies.

She is kind of pretty and has nice legs. Therefore she should be president.

Right back atcha. Peace out.

Czarcasm, here is the best I can do: Sarah Palin’s Op-Ed piece in the Washington Post against Cap and Trade: Linky

In my not the least bit humble opinion, it’s no better than what a well-read college freshman would write, but there it is. I’ll leave to another thread the question of why conservatives are so opposed to market-based solutions like cap and trade. Don’t they like the free market?

I think that Palin’s appeal to her supporters is the exact opposite of thoughtful examination of the issues of the day, explored carefully with the written or spoken word. I think Palinites like to go with their gut instincts, and like their leaders to do the same. Your thread was doomed from the start, but I think you knew that.

Oh dear.

I don’t believe for a second that she writes her own op-ed pieces. I have doubts that she even writes her own Facebook posts.
