I am a huge francophile, and I’ve bought some french flashcards with the idea of framing some of the nature-y ones for the nursery, but this is so much better. Think robots. Babies like faces, and robots are a good combination of science and faces. We have a sort of “Rockets and Robots” theme and the robots have been more popular.
But for science geeks having babies, I have to share the song I wrote today:

I’m a little rocket, tall and thin
Here is my nosecone (hands make a triangle above head),
Here are my fins (hands at an angle down to sides)
When the countdown’s over, my engines (squat, grab hips)
Shoot me up (jump)

After you’ve decided on the room’s color, I say look into nursery wall decals. I know Wall-pops.com has some removable ones that looked great in my kid’s room.
