If you like that sort of music, I’d like to recommend that you look into Chris Isaak. I saw him in concert recently, and he recorded an album at Sun Studios in Nashville recently. It is sort of an updated Elvis/Roy Orbison/etc kind of thing. It was an AWESOME concert, and he is an AWESOME singer.
The tour is called “Beyond the Sun” and I have to tell you, I think he out Elvised Elvis. I feel kind of disloyal saying this, but…he almost sounds better than Elvis.

Had the same sort of thought all week while trying to collect songs for a playlist. In my head, it was a crossover song - pop & C/W, and the artist had a odd name, like Eddie Rabbit or similar. I recall the song with words including “up stairs” or something to picture in my mind a 2nd floor subject. After, I thought it was Elvis, but not. It is not a song of rendition but a tune all its own, good beat & tempo. If discovered, it will be “Oh, I remember that song; you’re right, it does sound a bit like Elvis.” It was not a song of imitation, and was on the charts as a top 10 song of the week, if not higher, as I recall. I have search for a week so, but can’t find that specific tune. Good Luck.
