Help me find a non English soccer/football club to follow

It turns out I only back winners.

There is absolutely nothing in my history or previous fandoms that would in any way contradict that statement.

Though that Union playoff game was a brutal one to watch, but ended with a moment of sublimeness.

Glesnes is good for a few of those a year.

Haaland is back!

Yeah, that’s Haaland. Five weeks of injury pause, gets sent in minute 70, first shot at goal within one minute, first goal within ten minutes. And a typical Haaland goal. With the sole.

And the Union move on! With one of the worst PK shootouts by Nashville I’ve ever seen (missed 4 straight).

Philly now moves on to play either Supporter’s Shield winner New England Revolution or NYCFC in the Eastern Conference final.

What an exciting time to be a newly minted Union fan!

Even more exciting, due to NYCFC knocking off #1 seed NE Revolution, the Union will be hosting the Eastern Conference Final this Sunday. There is a chance they may host MLS Cup if they win that game (though it depends on who wins the Western Conference Final this Saturday).

And we have Der Klassiker (Bayern vs Dortmund) coming up this weekend!

This thread might have set a record for amount of posts on a subject that still has yet to mention the elephant in the room.
Subject: Dortmund
Elephant: the Westfalonstadon.
With the largest Bundesliga capacity at over 81,000, the stadium boasts the South Stand, a humungous free-standing grandstand that itself holds 25,000 and is quite intimidating to behold when it’s full.
You mention, NAF1138, seeing Dortmund when Klopp was around - no recollections, then, of what I thought was an almost iconic-looking image of the ground-level shots of Klopp with the ominous Die Sudtribune looming up behind him?
It can get as loud as the loudest EPL stadia do.

Also, just, just don’t listen to Carl.

Well, alas, due to a Covid breakout, Philly was down half it’s starters (including both CBs and one of the best GKs in MLS out), but still played very gamely and lost to an 88th minute goal to NYCFC. Though, if you are so inclined at the same time next week is MLS Cup between Portland and NYCFC.

I was shocked they didn’t postpone.

What are the rules regarding covid postponements in MLS?

It would be almost impossible to postpone a playoff game. And then you’d have to postpone MLS Cup. Those TV slots are done well in advance. And then of course, Portland would have to wait around for at least 2 weeks (as it’s a 10 day quarantine) if there was a postponement.

I don’t recall any Covid postponements this year. Players just have to quarantine, but I don’t know any other team that had so many people out at once either.
