I was browsing watches online a month or so ago and I came across one I can no longer find but I’m interested in purchasing…
This was a gold-plated Seiko 5 automatic but the thing that made it unique was the dial face. The dial face in this particular watch was engraved with an attractive pattern that upon closer inspection was pattern of repeating “5”s in reference to the Seiko 5 collection.
I’d be grateful if the Dope could help.

Could it have been this Grand Seiko? The engraving is supposedly GS, but I can certainly see how someone would see 5s.
Definitely not either of those. It was definitely a Seiko 5.

Very similar! It was gold and the 5’s alternated though, like every other one was upside down or sideways so it wasn’t quite so obvious. Damn good find though - I’ve been looking for weeks and that’s closer than I’ve gotten.
