Since your doing a mash-up and the music can be amorphous, might I also suggest Wildflower by The Cult (Electric). I believe the whole song is this riff. I only notice similarities and have zero technical knowledge of music, so this is just a guess.
I always theought that the “Bo Diddley riff” was to use a single chord percussively, and that George Thoroughgood used it in pretty much everything.
