It was a combination of a flashlight and cigar lighter. Some later versions had LEDs that showed the voltage of the car’s battery. It had a spiral cable that connected to the car’s electric socket and it could be hanged from the rearview mirror.
It seems that every car during the eighties had one of those. Anyone remembers them?
No idea what you are describing. And every car I can remember owning and/or being in throughout the 80s most definitely had nothing of the sort.
Maybe this was a feature of cars in Greece only? I also had many cars back then and have no idea
