Help Me Find Something At the Adobe for Education Website

I’m looking to purchase Adobe CS3 Design Standard. I’m trying to decide whether to purchase the “for Education” edition or not.

I feel like I remember reading at Adobe’s website a few months ago that “for Education” editions of Adobe software can not be used for commercial purposes. (This would be what one would expect, I think, anyway.) As my wife would like to use CS3 to design some things she would like to sell, that means “for Education” would not be the way to go.

But I just spent about an hour searching and browsing aroun
d the website linked to above, and I have not been able to find anything about what restrictions are placed on the “for Education” licenses. The most I have been able to find is wording (which I have now lost track of) to the effect that Macromedia products (not Adobe–Macromedia) “only” are intended for noncommercial use “only.” (Both the "only"s were in there.)

Well, the location of the information I’m looking for might be really easy to discover, but for some reason I’m having a hard time. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a related query.

I am aware that if it seems too good to be true, it almost certainly is. And I have foud an online store which seems to be selling CS3 at a price that is too good to be true.

I only ask this because usually when sites like this are some kind of scam or fraud, or are illega in some other wayl, a simple google search reveals this. But google has revealed nothing so far.

Best Deal Software. Scam, (or just illegal distributor,) right?

Re: the website

They say they’ve been selling online since 1999.

Yet their domain was registered in January 2007.

And they use a gmail address.

I’d run, far and fast.

Thanks for that!

How do I find out when a domain was registered? (And what’s the significance of the fact that they use a gmail address?)
