I’m looking for a program that will allow me to display a simple schedule of upcoming tasks, on what will be a second mounted LCD monitor where an entire office can see it.
Much like the departure screens in an airport. I want to be able to look up and see appointments/ tasks. Software would have to be easy to use, and up datable on the fly as appointments tasks change.
I’ve seen some POS (point of service) software that has (sort of) that capability, but it’s way more cumbersome and bloated than I need. I just want to be able to throw a big schedule for everyone to be able to see.
You’d just add in some simple auto-refresh code (every minute, hour, whatever). This way people can view the same list on their computers and smartphones too.
I’ve never used Google calendar. As far as computer and phone access - only be utilized by a small minority. Really what I need is simplicity. From entering information to displaying easy to read information on the 2nd display.
I will definitely take a look at Google Calendar. Right now Outlook calendars are the method most utilized here, however I have doubts they will provide an adequate display. I’m looking for something that’s easy too read and pleasing to the eye.
And the dates automatically translate into the local language wherever you happen to be connecting from. I’m connecting from Korea and the labels and menu options display in Korean. Everything else displays in English.
Thanks for the link. I’m definitely going to use this one!
