Help Me Find This Movie

I watched in the early 70’s with my cousin on TV but it must have been older. It was about a British officer in Africa that was captured by the native African tribesmen and forced to run for his life to the next British fort while they hunted him. I thought that it was Zulu, but I watched that and was disappointed that it wasn’t the movie. But the style was much the same.

I recall that there was very little dialog but lots of action and that we were captivated by it. Any thoughts on what I may be remembering?

The Naked Prey (1965) starring Cornel Willde. One of my favorite movies. I’d watch it whenever it was shown on TV.

It is such a good idea, it gets redone or homaged almost as much as A Christmas Carol.

Even Gilligan’s Island has an episode based on it! :open_mouth:

And yes, this was also done in Apocalypto and I loved it there as well.

So I bought a copy on Amazon, its a great movie and now I remember why.

The fun part is that since the Africans are speaking in some unknown to me language without subtitles you get to make up your own lines. I now remember doing just that with my cousin when we were 12. This is going to be great fun to watch while drinking with buddies!
