I saw this somewhere years ago in a catalog… it was a child’s tea service, but instead of tacky yellow and pink plastic, it looked like a real sterling silver tea service. It was sooo pretty, and cute. Anyway I want to get this for my sister (she’s 4) for Christmas but I can’t find one like it. Please help me?
I’ve seen some very nice ones in catalogs for Toys R Us. I seem to recall a silver one, but don’t quote me. I know they’ve got china ones. I’ll take a look. Have you checked eToys? I got a catalog from them in the mail a few days ago. They’ve got some kick-butt stuff in there!
Hey Opal, I just looked at toysrus.com, and they’ve got one called a Cupcakes & Cookies Silver Tea Set. It’s got some plastic pieces, though, and some of that really cute fake food (I love the fake food. My daughter and I have made some excellent meals with fake food).
Opal, are you looking for one with the cups and everything or just a tea/coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl?
If you just need the latter, a company by the name of International Silver makes them and Service Merchandise sells them.

I own one that is rather similar. It is only four pieces and includes the tray (no “swirls” but silverplated). It is used only in the sense that it has been taken out of the box and put into a china cabinet. If you don’t end up having any luck finding a new one of that particular set (and I am looking for one for you!) then I would be glad to sell you mine for less than the $35 they wanted for that used one. Just in case you can’t find one!
