I remember reading a book back in school, sometime in the early 2000’s, that was from the perspective of a peasant boy, probably in the Middle East, and dealt with the tensions surrounding Jesus Christ during his life time. Jesus visits the main character at the end of the book and probably heals his sick sister. I remember that the title was something like “The of the [y]” or “The in the [y]” and it was written by a woman for probably teen audiences. Can anyone recognize this book from my incredibly vague description?
Sounds like The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare.
Thanks, that’s the one! I’m glad you weren’t led astray by my misrepresenting the title.
