Help me ID all the movie endings in this poster

So I’ve just ordered a print of the movie poster for Woody Allen’s Hollywood Ending (which I haven’t even seen.) It’s a collage of 52 great film endings:

I’ve identified most of the movies, but a few have me stumped so I thought I’d call on you guys for help! I won’t post the ones I’ve IDed already so you guys can have the fun of filling out the whole list if you want. Have at it!

Here’s the ones I think I got:The Shining, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Dirty Harry, The Great Escape, Pulp Fiction, Animal House (?), Cleopatra (?), Being There, The Graduate, The Birds, Chinatown, The Bicycle Thief, Thelma and Louise, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Gone with the Wind, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, An Officer and a Gentleman, Rocky, Some Like It Hot, The Godfather, The Wizard of Oz, It’s a Wonderful Life, Modern Times (?), Double Indemnity, Casablanca, The Seventh Seal, Pretty Woman, The Sound of Music, Psycho, Sunset Boulevard, Shane, Field of Dreams, Paths of Glory, High Noon, Bonnie and Clyde, The Philadelphia Story, Scarface, The Magnificent Seven (?), Citizen Kane, Planet of the Apes, Rebel Without a Cause, Frankenstein, The Maltese Falcon

From left to right :

First row : Singin’ in the rain, ? ? Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Second row: Dirty Harry, The Great Escape, ? ? Gladiator, Being There, The Graduate
Third row : The Birds, ? ? (guess : Chinatown), ?, Thelma and Louise
Fourth row : Bridge on the River Kwai, Gone with the Wind, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, An Officer and Gentleman
Fifth row : Rocky, Jaws, Some Like it Hot, It’s a Wonderful Life, ?
Sixth row : The Godfather, The wizard of Oz
Seventh row : ?, Casablanca, ? ? ? ?
Eight row : ? The Sound of Music, Psycho, ?, Sunset Boulevard
Ninth row : Shane, ?, Paths of Glory, High Noon, Bonnie and Clyde
Tenth row : Scarface, ?, ?, Citizen Kane, ?
Eleventh row : Planet of the Apes, ?, ?, Frankenstein (or Bride of Frankenstein), ?

Bottom row - Between Planet of the Apes and Frankenstein is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

Further up on the right boarder, just below Chaplin is “Dr. Strangelove.”

Awesome, thanks guys! You’ve helped me out on a couple of them. It looks like I’m just missing one now:
First row : Singin’ in the rain, Ordinary People, The Shining, Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Second row: Dirty Harry, The Great Escape, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, Being There, The Graduate
Third row : The Birds, Chinatown, the Bicycle Thief, Thelma and Louise
Fourth row : Bridge on the River Kwai, Gone with the Wind, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, An Officer and Gentleman
Fifth row : Rocky, Jaws, Some Like it Hot, It’s a Wonderful Life, Modern Times
Sixth row : The Godfather, The wizard of Oz
Seventh row : Double Indemnity, Casablanca, Annie Hall, Seventh Seal, Pretty Woman, Dr. Strangelove
Eight row : Notorious, The Sound of Music, Psycho, [???], Sunset Boulevard
Ninth row : Shane, Field of Dreams, Paths of Glory, High Noon, Bonnie and Clyde
Tenth row : Scarface, Magnificent Seven, Cool Hand Luke, Citizen Kane, Philadelphia Story
Eleventh row : Planet of the Apes, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Rebel Without a Cause, Frankenstein, Maltese Falcon

I’m not 100% sure of The Sound of Music. How confident are you on that one, detop?
That sure looks like the “Climb Every Mountain” finale from “The Sound of Music” to me. It’s odd seeing it in black and white.

Pretty damn sure.

I’m 99% sure of that one. The only other possibility I can think of would be The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, which also ended with a scene of a group of children being led through a mountain pass. But The Sound of Music is a much better known movie.

To be picky, these aren’t all film endings. The one with the dropping bomb (not to give it away to anyone who hasn’t looked yet) does not happen anywhere near the actual end of the movie. It isn’t even the last iconic scene. So humph.

I saw this earlier and made a two part version of this for identification purposes:

Part 1 (the top half)

Part 2 (bottom)

That’s really handy, Sampiro. Thanks!

Is the missing one From Here To Eternity?

Yes

That’s it! Thanks guys, now I can hang the poster on my wall with pride.

I googled this poster, hoping to find one for sale as I used to have it hanging in an edit suite I used to work in, and found this thread. The Chaplin frame is identified as being from Modern Times. It’s actually the ending scene from City Lights. Love this poster and hope to find it reasonably priced so I can hang it in my home office!

Cheers,
