Help me ID this mountain climbing game from my youth

I am trying to rediscover a game from my youth in the 70s. It was a mountaineering game, and I don’t recall much about it. What I do remember is:

  • It had a cloth or other simple type of folding map
  • You moved up paths on the mountain that were along lines, rather than square after square. There was more than one route you could take, with different risks…
  • I *think *it was card driven. The cards had raised printing.
  • One card was snowblind. The cards were darkish brown, with rounded corners.
It may have been a game on an Everest attempt. It may have been called Mountaineer or something like that, but my googlefu is weak.

Alpiner? I had it for the ti99/4a. It was a catridge.

No, it’s a board game.

Ah, nm then.

Does it have an awesomely catchy tune?

Mountaineering?

Actually, I think that’s it. The pictures show the board game, but there’s one showing a version that came in a bag, and that’s what we owned. Sadly there’s no photos of the components form the bag game, but based on what I can see I’m pretty sure that’s it. Thanks!
