The details are pretty vague; it was shown late at night and this was several years ago so it would have been network / basic cable. All I can remember is a shot of a sunny field, possibly with wind blowing. The thing that has always stuck with me is that the song is (or seemed at the time) very haunting. I want to say the lyrics are something about pushing up daisies. I don’t recall seeing any of the cast list but my mind keeps going to Martin Sheen (but that could be totally wrong). It doesn’t appear to be Badlands. Again, the music was quite eerie so I assume it’s a horror / thriller.
Ring anyone’s bell? I’ve tried looking it up but I keep getting results relating to some tv show called Pushing Up Daisies.
Ninja’d, I was just grabbing that same link from youtube.
Thanks, but I’m positive. That was cute! What I’m thinking of is not. I wish I had more clues to go on. Unfortunately the most outstanding thing in my memory is how it made me feel. I don’t recall why I didn’t watch the film at the time but I’ve been trying to find out what it is for some time now.
I somehow missed that last line in your OP. FWIW, Pushing Daisies is an absolutely phenomenal show. If you’re ever looking for something to binge, give it a shot (also, it’s better than Dead Like Me).
There is a Garth Brooks song that fits the description, but I can’t find mention of it being used in a movie.
The Goosebumps intro had the field, wind, and kind-of creepy music. But no lyrics, no Martin Sheen, and I wouldn’t exactly call the music haunting or eerie.
Personally, I loved Dead Like Me.
