Help me identify this distinctive album cover!

When I was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, I saw a copy on the wall of what I guess was an album cover. The only problem is that in retrospect, I can’t remember the band OR the album! I can only remember the details (and boy was it detailed.)

It was in the form of a color illustration, and looked somewhat in the “underground comic” (R. Crumb and the like) style.

It depicted a dark-haired, angry-looking young man in a blue gas-station uniform walking past a burly man in a suit and tie holding a briefcase; some papers are hanging out of the briefcase, one of them partially says “SUPPER CLUB.” The burly man had reddish, curly hair. The gas-station worker is glancing at the burly man. There is a “thought bubble” over the head of the young mechanic; in it is a “flashback” scene of the two guys in high school, the big burly guy in a football jersey beating up the dark-haired boy (in the thought bubble he is dressed in punk clothes.)

It is a profound scene: one boy clearly grew up to be a downtrodden blue-collar worker, still beaten down by the grind of life, while the football player clearly became rich and powerful as indicated by his dress and accessories. And as they walk past each other, the guy remembers his high-school days as an outcast being beaten up by the bigger, popular kids.

Now, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS FROM?

I’m very tempted to say it’s a Reverend Horton Heat album cover but I did a search and did not find ANYTHING. I think it was a punk band. I still have no idea though, someone please help me!

I will be damned straight to hell if this post disappears to the second page overnight, so here!

I think it’s worth mentioning that I CALLED the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, and asked to speak with a manager so I could ask about the illustration.

I was connected to a lady who spoke broken, Spanish-accented English. I couldn’t understand a damn thing she was saying and had to hang up.

As an aside note, it pisses me off so much that people who cannot communicate are being hired for jobs that require them to communicate. Even if there are high Hispanic populations in Florida and California, there’s NO EXCUSE for hiring people who can’t speak unintelligible English at manegerial positions. Now I’m royally pissed off like my royal bastard Fitzroy ancestors.

You can start your search here: http://www.albumcovers.net

Warning - I clicked on Liberal’s link and got a virus warning, something tried to access the net but was blocked by ZoneAlarm … masses of pop-ups, etc etc.

Maybe best avoided?

A thousand apologies, but nothing like that happened to me. I have Norton.

Just scanned with AVG - it’s the Startpage virus.

Off to check with AdAware and Spybot … if I’m not back in two days send in the troops.

Not to worry Lib … it can happen to the best of us.

To be more specific … I clicked on to the Search for a Cover page - maybe you didn’t go that far?

I hate to drag this back to the OP and all…

It’s not an album cover, it’s a Rev. Horton Heat concert poster from 1995
