Back in the late 70’s, early 80’s I watched a series of programs that were a sort of reality show about a young farm couple. I can’t remember if it was on PBS or not, and it didn’t seem to be scripted, but I could be wrong. The camera followed the young, I think teen-aged bride around as she dealt with getting used to being married, budgeting, getting a job, paying bills, dealing with farm bureaus, coping with her young husband and his family. The one episode I remember most clearly had to do with getting her husband and his male relatives to eat more vegetables. The guys were strictly meat-and-potatoes, and she made a bet with them that she could them to eat veggies and like it. She tricked them by making a chocolate zucchini cake for dessert (I remember this so well because I had a similar favorite recipe) and she won the bet.
Does anyone remember this show?
