Some years back I saw on some afternoon tabloid TV show, like Maury Povich or Montel Williams or something, about a teenage girl who had been switched at birth and given to the wrong family.
Her biological mother was going through legal machinations to get custody of her, despite the girl’s fervent pleas that she wanted to stay with the family that had raised her. She swore that she would run away the second the courts ordered her to her biological parents.
I think the girl was around 14 at the time.
Can anyone tell me who this was, and whatever came of her case? She’d be in her twenties now, so the question of custody is moot, but I’m still curious how it all panned out.
